enviPath is both, a database and a prediction system, for the microbial biotransformation of organic environmental contaminants. The database provides the possibility to store and view experimentally observed biotransformation pathways, and particularly supports the annotation of pathways with experimental and environmental conditions. The system predicts likely bio-transformation pathways and products for a chosen set of environmental conditions.
The system is developed in collaboration with our project partner from the Department of Environmental Chemistry from the Eawag in Dübendorf (Switzerland). enviPath is inspired by the EAWAG-BBD Pathway Prediction System, and allows users to interactively manipulate existing data and add new data to the system.
